WASHINGTON - MICOM: President of the United States (U.S.), Barack Obama on Thursday (23 / 6), announces that he will pull back 33 thousand troops from Afghanistannext year.
A total of 10 thousand troops would leave the war zone this year, according to Obama'scampaign promises. Then more than 20 thousand more troops will be withdrawn from Afghanistan in 2012 before the U.S. election was held.
Although more than 30 thousand U.S. troops were returned but as many as 70 thousandother U.S. military personnel still stationed in foreign countries who are in conflict. The U.S. military missions abroad are not expected to end in December 2014. (AP/OL-13)
