State media on Thursday (30 / 6), reported the bridge was already pass the test the building and opened for public traffic on Thursday.

The bridge is 4 kilometers longer than the previous record holder Lake PontchartrainCauseway in the State of Louisiana, USA.

It took four years to build and run media reported that the project cost of U.S. $ 1.55billion. This bridge is supported by more than 5,200 poles.

The building is expected to be used over 30 thousand vehicles per day and canreportedly cut the trip between Qingdao and Huangdao to 30 minutes.

Despite this sea bridge will probably not long be the longest in the world.
