Cape Canaveral - MICOM: Aircraft ulag Russian shuttle carrying three astronauts fromthree countries, on Friday (10 / 6), arrived at the International Space Station (ISS) aftertraveling for two days after taking off from Kazakhstan.
The three astronauts were joined by three other astronauts who have been in ISS. Theywill be on the ISS during NASA space missions to end them by flying the space shuttleAtlantis next month. Atlantis is scheduled to lift off on July 8th. That would end the NASAspace mission that has lasted for 30 years.
The three astronauts who arrived aboard the Soyuz space shuttle and ISS will be in for five months was the astronaut United States (U.S.) Michale Fossum. Volkov Sergeyfrom Russia, and Japan's Satoshi Furukawa. They joined U.S. astronaut Ronaldviolations Jr. and two Russian cosmonaut Andrey and Alexander BorisenkoSamoktyaev who has been at ISS since April. (AP/OL-13)
